Senior MISO representatives highlighted these risks during a recent hearing before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security.<\/p>\n<h3>Propane Helps Bridge the Gap in Michigan\u2019s Energy Transition<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This scenario presents a unique opportunity for propane, a reliable and versatile fuel that can help bridge the energy gap.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.miautogas.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Propane vehicles<\/a>, in particular, offer a clean, cost-effective alternative to EVs.<\/span> More importantly, propane is a leading source of home heating for rural areas, and it&#8217;s arguably the cleanest alternative fuel source, according to the U.S Department of Energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With biofuels facing challenges, propane offers a silver lining, thanks to its low emissions and low per-gallon cost.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;In Michigan, we&#8217;re seeing firsthand how propane autogas can bridge the gap between traditional fuels and the future of energy. With the pressures on our grid increasing, propane provides a stable, low-emission alternative that supports our state&#8217;s energy independence and environmental goals,&#8221; said Scott Underwood, Autogas Chairman, Michigan Propane Gas Association (MPGA)<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>A Practical Solution for a Sustainable Future<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michigan\u2019s commitment to a sustainable energy future makes propane an attractive choice.
