The state is pushing toward <\/span><b>ambitious climate goals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while trying to keep power <\/span><b>reliable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>affordable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. A recent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crainsdetroit.com\/editorial\/editorial-nuclear-energy-innovation-offers-promise-michigan\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crain\u2019s Detroit editorial<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> made the case for <\/span><b>small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as part of the <\/span><b>clean energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> solution.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michigan needs more <\/span><b>low-emission<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, always-on, always-available power. With that logic, nuclear seems to be the clear-cut answer. But placing all of our eggs in nuclear\u2019s basket would defeat the purpose of finding an abundant, widely accepted clean energy solution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, what is the solution? All signs are pointing towards an energy initiative driven by <\/span><b>fuel diversity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
